In Morocco, an IP video surveillance system for an SME costs MAD 8,000 to 15,000 for 4 cameras, and MAD 16,000 to 30,000 for 8 to 12 cameras — hardware, recorder, disk, cabling and installation included. The price per camera ranges from MAD 900 to 2,500 depending on resolution and analytics features.
This guide breaks down every line of the quote so you can compare offers item by item.
IP camera installation cost in Morocco: short answer
Budget MAD 10,000 to 20,000 for a complete 4 to 6 camera system in a retail unit or warehouse, installed and configured. For a larger deployment (12 to 20 cameras, several buildings, multi-user remote access), expect MAD 30,000 to 70,000. We invoice on average MAD 1,200 per installed camera, recorder and configuration included, for a 4K night-vision camera with person and vehicle detection.
The 7 line items of a surveillance quote
A serious quote always details these seven lines. If an offer only gives a lump sum, ask for the breakdown — that is where bad savings hide.
| Item | Detail | Indicative 2026 price |
|---|---|---|
| IP camera | 4K/8MP, 30 m infrared, human/vehicle detection, PoE | MAD 900 – 1,500 / unit |
| NVR recorder | 8 channels 4K, 8 PoE ports, 2 SATA bays, HDMI 4K | MAD 2,000 – 3,500 |
| Hard drive | 6 TB surveillance 24/7 (≈ 1 month archive) | MAD 1,700 – 2,200 |
| Cabling | 300 m CAT6 copper RJ45 reel + connectors | MAD 1,800 – 2,500 |
| Cabinet | 19″ wall cabinet 6U, lockable glass door | MAD 800 – 1,200 |
| Accessories | Trunking, brackets, anchors, glands | MAD 1,000 – 1,800 |
| Install & config | Mounting, NVR setup, mobile access, training | MAD 2,500 – 4,500 |
4K or 2MP: what it does to the price
Resolution is the main cost lever. A 2MP (1080p) camera costs about MAD 500 to 800 and is enough for a corridor or a reception area. A 4K/8MP camera costs MAD 900 to 1,500 and becomes necessary as soon as you need to read a licence plate or identify a face at 20 metres.
Our recommendation for business: 4K at entrances and perimeter, 2MP indoors. You keep quality where it matters and save 30 to 40% on hardware.
Why cabling often costs more than expected
Cabling is the line item that overruns. In an older building without false ceilings or conduits, pulling 300 metres of CAT6 can double installation time. Three factors inflate the bill:
- no cable trays between floors;
- runs over 90 m (the PoE-over-copper limit) requiring an intermediate switch;
- exposed outdoor routes needing conduit and reinforced cable.
Always keep 15 to 25% contingency on this line.
PoE or separate power wiring?
PoE (Power over Ethernet) powers the camera through the network cable: one cable, no 220 V socket nearby, installation twice as fast. It is the standard we deploy. An 8-port 80 W PoE NVR powers 8 cameras with no extra injector. The alternative (220 V plus an adapter per camera) is only justified for very distant cameras beyond 90 m. How many cameras does your site need?
| Site type | Recommended cameras | Complete budget |
|---|---|---|
| Office / branch | 4 – 6 | MAD 10,000 – 18,000 |
| Retail store | 6 – 10 | MAD 15,000 – 28,000 |
| Warehouse / factory | 12 – 20 | MAD 30,000 – 70,000 |
| Multi-site (2 to 3) | 20 – 40 | MAD 70,000 – 150,000 |
Mistakes that blow up the budget
We see the same mistakes on most of the audits we run:
- Buying hardware yourself without a mounting plan — cabling gets sized afterwards, often twice over.
- Skimping on the hard drive — 6 TB covers about a month. Too small means buying again a year later.
- Choosing Wi-Fi cameras for a business site — unstable, no PoE, impossible to supervise properly.
- Forgetting firmware updates — an unpatched camera is a door into your network.
- Ignoring the recording access plan — who watches, who exports, how long you retain.
What our installation includes
At NETREGIA every installation follows the same method: site survey and mounting plan, CAT6 copper cabling, configured PoE NVR, separate user accounts, encrypted mobile access, team training and a clip-export procedure. Fully documented and supervisable. We operate in Casablanca and across Morocco.
In short: budget MAD 1,000 to 2,500 per camera all-in. A 4-camera 4K installed system sits around MAD 12,000. The price per camera drops 20 to 30% once you exceed 8 cameras on one site.
